Mark making and Design for the Textile Artist and Embroiderer

You will learn to work from photos, still life and subject details to explore ways of mark making, not to say drawing, and to use these marks and methods to influence your textile and embroidery design in a realistic or abstract way.
Each day starts with paperwork to discover the possibilities of different subjects, approaches and materials. Each of these approaches is followed up with methods of mark making with textiles and embroidery in the form of samples which are influenced by the mornings work.
For this course there is a short list of drawing materials, others will be provided.
